On November 12, Wang Tianshun, member of the party leadership group of the Henan Provincial Department of Natural Resources and director of the Henan Coalfield Geology Bureau, and a group of 9 people visited FIRI to conduct investigations and exchanges to discuss cooperation on soil pollution prevention and control. Lu Jianzhong, secretary of the party committee of FIRI, Qi Xuebin, deputy director, Wang Jinglei, assistant director, and others in charge of relevant departments and teams participated in the investigation.

    The group first visited the intelligent irrigation and fertilizer integration display platform and the modern intelligent irrigation technology exhibition park. At the subsequent symposium, Qi Xuebin introduced the historical evolution, discipline development, platform base, scientific and technological innovation, and talent construction of FIRI. Li Zhongyang, a member of the institute’s party committee, introduced relevant technical models for soil pollution prevention and control in irrigation. Both sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on the South Taihang's soil pollution restoration and groundwater environmental protection. They proposed to jointly carry out the South Taihang's mountain, water, forest, field, lake and grass ecological protection and restoration project, and work together to solve the South Taihang's geological and ecological environmental problems.
