In order to promote scientific and technological innovation in an all-round way, on October 18, 2020, the key task of the Institute of FIRI "The integration and application of high-efficiency water-saving irrigation technology system in Northwest Oasis agriculture" project team led by professor Wang Jinglei went to Alaer.

The project team came to Alaer Water Conservancy Bureau, the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, and the Tarim University to exchange ideas on local water resources optimization, automatic irrigation, and water saving and salt control technology.

Wang Jinglei said that the first division Alar is a typical oasis agricultural area in southern Xinjiang. The creation of an oasis agricultural water-saving model under the new situation is a powerful measure to promote the process of agricultural water-saving and help the country's rural revitalization strategy. The Irrigation Institute is a national team for agricultural scientific research. It has deep technical reserves and abundant human resources in the field of irrigation technology. To give full play to these advantages and face the urgent problems in local agricultural production is a full manifestation of the mission and positioning of the national team. .

Wang Jinglei emphasized that the key tasks of the institute are an important part of the innovative engineering task traction pattern. Both sides should further strengthen collaborative innovation and give full play to their respective advantages. The Irrigation Institute will select backbone forces to participate in the organization and implementation of key tasks, and strive to form a batch of reproducible and easy to popularize irrigation technology models and application products, and effectively solve the problems of efficient utilization of water and soil resources in southern Xinjiang and improvement of agricultural ecological environment.

Both sides also had an in-depth exchange of views on specific issues such as cooperation mode, test promotion site selection and so on.

Professor Lv Mouchao participated in the farmland construction and agricultural mechanization transformation and upgrading on-site training promotion meeting of the autonomous region in Bachu County, and exchanged views with relevant leaders of the Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Xinjiang Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower Research on the implementation of the northwest task of the irrigation institute.

Through the visit, the project team has an in-depth understanding of the current status and problems of northwest oasis agriculture, laying a foundation for the next joint research and systematic promotion of scientific and technological innovation projects.
