Recently, the Ministry of Water Resources announced the 2020 "Guidance for the Key Promotion of Advanced Practical Water Conservancy Technologies". The achievements of the "Farmland Multi-source Information Collection Technology" completed by associate professor Jia Yanhui from the Efficient Water-saving Irrigation Technology and Equipment Group of FIRI were successfully selected.
"Farmland Multi-source Information Collection Technology" consists of information collector (hardware) and information data processing system (software). Through monitoring and fusion analysis of farmland multi-source information, this technology can obtain farmland crop growth and soil moisture distribution and give irrigation recommendations. Compared with the current commonly used irrigation forecasting system, this technology has the function of mutual verification of soil profile temperature, meteorological information and soil moisture. It has higher accuracy in predicting the water content of the wet layer of the regional plan and higher accuracy of the irrigation forecast results. The information collector can be used with most existing general-purpose sensors. It uses low-power circuits and optimizes the power management module for the farmland information monitoring environment. After installation, it can be free of maintenance for more than 2 years.
The technology has successively obtained 2 patents and 3 software copyrights. The related achievements have been promoted and applied in many provinces and regions across the country, which has significantly improved the accuracy of multi-parameter monitoring of farmland and reduced the cost of monitoring systems.
