At the invitation of University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Romania, on May 14-19, 2019, professor Wang Jinglei and project leader Feng Junjie of FIRI attended the opening ceremony of "China-Romania Agricultural SCI&TEC Park" established by the international cooperation project. Ms. Jiang Yu, Chinese Ambassador to Romania, Mr. Hurduc, Minister of Research and Innovation of Romania, Prof. Campeanu, President of Bucharest University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Sciences, and professor Zhang Yanqing, Director of Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, etc. attended and gave speeches. Eight experts from the project institutes attended the ceremony, including the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development in Agriculture, FIRI and Zhengzhou Fruit Research Institute.
FIRI is responsible for the research and development and demonstration of integrated irrigation water and fertilizer management technology and equipment for solar greenhouse facility agriculture in the project. During the event, professor Wang Jinglei and project leader Feng Junjie demonstrated how to install drip irrigation systems and adjust integrated water and fertilizer management technology and carefully provide technical guidance to Romanian researchers.
The application and demonstration of integrated drip irrigation water and fertilizer technology in the "China-Romania Agricultural SCI&TEC Park" will greatly improve the application level of modern irrigation technology in Romania’s agriculture, and further enhance the global adaptability of China’s water-saving irrigation technology and equipment to "go global" and strengthen international competitiveness, which is of great significance in promoting the implementation of the "Belt and Road" strategy in China.
On May 17, professor Wang Jinglei and associate professor Feng Junjie also participated in the Romanian Facility Horticultural Technology Achievement Exchange Conference at the same time. Associate professor Feng Junjie gave an academic report entitled “Development situation and trend of sprinkler and micro-irrigation”, and had technical exchanges with experts from home and abroad.
