Biography
Majoring in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Wang Jingnglei was assigned to FIRI in July 1996, after graduating from Wuhan University of Hydraulic and Electrical Engineering. He has been long engaged in information technology in agriculture of efficient utilization of soil and water resources research. Since entering FIRI, he has been doing research on how to diagnose water deficit of crop rapidly , multidimensional detection of crop water demand information, how to estimate potential of agricultural water and soil resources comprehensively and so on. He puts forward the technology system of spatiotemporal variability and scale conversion of crop water demand information and improves the method of crop water diagnosis based on multi-source information fusion, proposes the method system of crop water demand estimation based on weather forecast information, and couples he potential estimation method of agricultural water and soil resources. The WEBGIS-based software package for crop moisture diagnosis and irrigation remote warning service realizes the rapid management and visual expression of multidimensional information.
