Zhou Xinguo, professor, master's supervisor, is currently the director of the Drainage Technology Laboratory of FIRI of CAAS, the chief of the Farmland Drainage Technology and Products innovation team of CAAS and the editorial board member of the Journal of Irrigation and Drainage. The Farmland Drainage Technology and Products innovation team led by Zhou has successively presided over more than 10 projects such as the National Technological Program, the National 863 Program, the Public Welfare Project of MOA, and the Natural Science Foundation. He has won the second and third prizes of provincial and ministerial science and technology progress award, participated in the formulation of 2 industry and local standards, obtained 3 software copyrights, published more than 50 papers and participated in the compilation and publication of 3 monographs and cultivated 2 graduate students.

Tasks and research results
The team has long been engaged in basic research on farmland drainage and saline-alkali land management based on the National Field Scientific Observation and Experiment Station of Farmland Ecosystem in Shangqiu, Henan Province, and has undertaken more than 20 national and ministerial key scientific and technological research projects in farmland drainage and won three provincial and ministerial first prizes. In recent years, team members have edited 5 monographs, obtained 16 software copyrights and more than 50 patents, and published more than 100 papers. In Henan, Hubei, Xinjiang and other places, more than 800 acres of field drainage experimental demonstration areas have been established.
