Research Team of Safety Utilization of Unconventional Water Resources
Team Chief Gao Feng, Professor
Gao Feng, PhD, professor, doctoral supervisor, is currently engaged in research on the safety utilization of unconventional agricultural water resources. He presided over or participated in 17 national and provincial-level projects, published more than 40 papers, participated in the preparation of 7 national plans, compiled and revised 6 national and industry standards, edited 3 monographs, and participated in the editing of 11 books. His research results won the third prize of Dayu Water Conservancy Science and Technology Progress Award. The co-editing book Arid Area Agriculture in China won the Nominees Award of the 3rd China Excellent Publication Book. The research results of irrigation water utilization coefficient were promoted and applied nationwide. At present, he concurrently serves as a member of the council of the Chinese Society of Hydraulic Engineering, the evaluation expert for construction projects of MOA, and an evaluation expert on water resources for construction projects of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Research Directions and Achievements
1. Environmental effects of reclaimed water irrigation and safety utilization technology
2. Salt transport mechanism and safety utilization technology of brackish water irrigation Evaluation theory and method of unconventional water resources agricultural safety utilization technology
3. In recent years, the team has undertaken more than 20 projects including the National “863” Program, National Key Research and Development Program, the 6th EU Research Framework Programme, International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the introduced intelligence project State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China. The team has obtained 3 provincial and ministerial scientific research awards, 7 utility model patents, 1 software copyright and published nearly 100 academic papers, of which more than 10 are included in SCI/EI.
