Visions——Precisely regulate the process of crop water consumption, save every drop of water
Research Objectives
The Group of Crop Water Requirement and Regulation proposes reliable indicators to characterize crop water requirement at different scales and simulation methods of identification and quantitative expression for dynamic changes in multi-scale and cross-scale crop water requirement, and constructs a data-model fusion system for multi-scale crop water requirement.
The group reveals the mechanism of the coupling cycle of farmland water-carbon-nitrogen and the outreach and interaction between each other, and establishes the mechanism model and practical model of farmland water-carbon-nitrogen flux simulation.
The group clarifies the physiological water-saving control methods of crop water requirement and high-efficiency water use, develops new technologies and new products for the regulation of crop water requirement, and proposes optimization design techniques for the temporal and spatial patterns of crop water requirement and regional water consumption.
Research Direction
Direction 1: Simulation of scale effect and cross-scale mechanism of crop water demand and consumption
